James Fulton Hatcher is my ggrandfather. I have a book on the History of Pontotoc County Oklahoma that provides some information about the Hatcher family. I have a list of his children. Per the book, James Fulton's father was James Hiram Hatcher, b. in 1812 and died 1838. His father was Francis Marion Hatcher. His father was Thomas Elijah Hatcher, b. abt 1742. I would be glad to share what information I have. I just downloaded a file on the Hatchers from another database that I need to review.
My grandmother was Jamesina Ima Hatcher, b. 5/5/1870. The James Fulton Hatcher family moved to Searcy County Arkansas. They lived there for several years and Jamesina (Jimmie) married Alfred Thomas (Allie) Tilley. Most of the Hatcher family moved on to Indian Territory to what became Ada, Pontotoc County, Oklahoma. James Fulton Hatcher died 9/16/1902 and is buried in Ada, Okla. Per the history book, he was in the 49th Alabama Infantry. I found him in a database for that Regiment and have requested his military records from NARA.
