I'm sorry I don't have much information for you but I do have that Lucy was born in 1775. This is according to John Shiver author of the Bransford Family history Vol I & II. If you come across more specific information I would love to know too.

I was wondering if you had any information on Samuel L. Venable, husband of Virginia Woodson Bransford. I am trying to connect Samuel to Nathaniel E Venable who in 1775 was one of the founders of Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia. Samuel and Virginia's son Nathaniel graduated from Hampden-Sydney, though died shortly after. I was also trying to connect Samuel to Major Richard Venable whom Venable Hall (one of the dorms) on the Hampton-Sydney campus is named.

If you have any info I would greatly apprecuate it
