I did get to make another trip to Doylestown to the Historical Society, but had no luck on finding anything.Need to find the will of Joseph Thatcher. There is another Joseph Thatcher in Chester Co, so don't get him mistaken for our potential ancestor.Joseph did have a house in Philadelphia, and may have been in NJ with his other relatives there. But haven't found the will...

Ann VanSandt and her siblings are named in the Orphans Court records of Cecil Co MD.Johann VanSandt's will left land in Cecil CO to be used for their support. There are also deeds in Cecil Co MD where William Hatcher and Ann VanSandt sell land, along with VanSandt siblings.

In the late 1600 there was a sectionof Quakers that tried to break off. This session was called the Keithian Conflict.I saw an index of the Quakers involved in testimony in this, and Richard Thatcher was mentioned.I have not gone through the papers of the Philadelphia Yearly Meeting to see what kind of testimony Richard Thatcher gave, or if he was one of Keith's followers and was being testified about. If he did follow Keith, that would explain what we can't find Quaker records on Richard Thatcher. This is a trail I have intended to look in someday. You are welcome to do so...

I still have not found "proof".There is a deed where William Hatcher is selling land in 1726 he obtained from Joseph Thatcher, and they spell William's name as Thatcher when he receives the land and Hatcher when he sells it, this is from the deed trace within the deed.I have not found the deed that passes the land from Joseph Thatcher to William Hatcher/Thatcher, somewhere in 1723 if I call correctly. The deed where William sells the land was dated 1725 but not recorded until 1872 or so, 140 some years later, and thus overlooked easily by those searching for info on William Hatcher.
Any help would be appreciated...
Evelyn
