Joseph Walter Hatfield

I have recently been informed that I am a Hatfield ancestor. I have been digging for about a week to verify it, with no luck. My grandma tells me that my grandpa, Jack Latham, is the son of Cordilla Marie Hatfield and Walter Latham. Cordilla is the daughter of Joseph Walter Hatfield and Virginia Katheryn Hatfield. I have found so many Joseph Hatfields' but none with the middle name Walter and none with a wife named Virginia Katheryn. Can anybody confirm this?
