Amanda Hatfield of NJ /Father lost at sea

Am seeking information about Amanda Hatfield (could also be Mary Amanda Hatfield) b. 1822 in White Plains NY.Her father is said to have been lost at sea along with his brothers.Amanda's mother was deceased at the time so Amanda became an orphan. She was brought up by an aunt and uncle in New Jersey.She married Jackson Roe Carr in 1840.I am seeking info about her parents and the aunt and uncle who took care of her.Any info would be most welcome.
