I too would like to know the details of Robert & Louise's courtship. She had 6 kids with my 2nd great grandfather James P. Mullins. Elizabeth "Louise" Jane Collins-Roberts 05 Oct 1855 to 29 Sep 1938 was the 1st cousin of James P. Her parents were the unmarried couple Isham "Ice" Collins and Dicy Roberts (Dicy was born 1833). Children with James P. were Mary Jane 1873-1936, Victoria 1876, Albert 1877, Minnie B. 1879, James A. 1883, and Judge Isom 1886-1948. The youngest of these kids can be seen on the census living with step-father Robert Hatfield.

Robert and family lived in Stafford, Mingo, WV and Elizabeth "Louise" was probably his 3rd wife after Emma Hatfield and Mariah Wolford. His children with Louise were Craig Toliver 1892, Ella 1894, John 1895, Pearl 1896, Henry 1898, Bettie 1900, and Charlie 1902. Louise died in Wharncliff, Mingo, WV.

My 2nd great grandfather James left WV and resided in the Breaks VA (then known as Jane VA). He remarried to his 3rd cousin Millie Colley and had 10 more kids for a total of 16. One of those kids from the 2nd batch was my great grandfather King Solomon Mullins. [email protected]
