Re: Hatfield Connection Mingo County, WV

Hello Westley. My name is Paul Williams. My family on my dads side is also Dempsey. My great grandpa was Moss Dempsey. He used to take us out to the barn behind the civil war era house that he lived in and show us how he could work the medicine ball since Jack Dempsey is supposed to be a GGGG grandfather of mine. The Dempseys all lived and still live on the right fork of Middle Creek in Floyd County Kentucky at a place referred to as Blue River. I read that there was a Bill Dempsey that was involved with the Hatfields but I haven't done any research into this to see if there is a connection.
