Hatfield and McCoy connection to the first Nickelodenon

The very first Nickelodeon in the world was built on the Nickelodeon section of Pittsburgh in 1905.The very second one was built 13 miles east of Pittsburgh near Lincoln PA which is now Glassbort/McKeesport in the Myers building in 1906.

The building was owned by fire chief Florance W Myers who also was the manager of the Glassport baseball team that had several Hatfield and McCoy players.

Florance W Myers, I believe, was related to CSA M/Sgt Alfred Beckley who was the son of General Alfred Beckley and Amelia Neville Craig.M/Sgt Beckley was rased in Pittsburgh by his grandmother Ann FULTON Craig.

M/Sgt Alfred Beckley was CSA Captain William Anderson Hatfield's Master Sgt.Captain Hatifeld was otherwise known as CAP and he was the Hatfield family leader in the Hatfield and McCoy story.

I have much more on this and I believe these Pittsburgh families are tied to actors Kevin Costner and Powers Booth.

So my research on this family is actually connected to Kevin Costners connection to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dan Rooney's daughter. The Washington Post ran an article on Kevin Costner and his on/off relationship with Dan Rooney's daughter.

The Myers family were an old Pittsburgh riverboat family that ran riverboats from Pittsburgh to Louisville KY.By a newspaper story written in 2008, the Myers family were one of the families in Pittsburgh tied to the Lewis and Clark Expedition out of Pittsburgh in 1803.They are also tied to the first steamboat on the Ohio built by Robert FULTON.

Ann FULTON's husband Neville B Craig, the editor of the Pittsburgh Gazette, wrote a story about the Myers boats going to Louisville KY in 1794.
