Robert E. Le Hatfield 10/18/12
My family is directly related to CSA Major Lewis Redman who was the major moonshiner in NC.I have an obituary of my ggggrandfather. It states in an age before steam, he loaded his flatboat with goods (Whiskey) in Pittsburgh and drifed it to New Orleans and WALKED back to Pittsburgh.
It's General John Neville to his daughter Ann Neville to her son Neville B Craig to his daughter Anne Neville Craig to her son M/Sgt Alfred Beckley who was the M/Sgt to CSA Captain William Anderson Hatfield.
All from the records of the Myers and Lee families of Fort Myers in Lee County Florida named after General Robert E Lee married to Mary Anna Randolph Custis, a descendent of Pocahontas and Mary Meade Randolph.
Mary Meade Randolph was the first person buried at Arlington Cemetery.
It is my understanding from the Civil War Records that the Hatfields first lived in Pocahontas County WV.
