Re: Robert Lee Hatfield

Robert Lee Hatfield disappears after the 1930 Marion County, IN Census (Indianapolis).He was employed as a shipping clerk in a paint store and was living with his McDonald relatives at the time.He is not listed in Social Security Administration records or in cemetery records at www.findagrave.com and so he presumably died young without issue.His brother William P. Hatfield resided in the Indiana School for Feeble-Minded Youth in Ft. Wayne, Allen County, IN in 1930.His father was born in WV and his mother in VA.There was another man named William P. Hatfield at the time but he was born ca. 1907 in KY.William P. Hatfield is not listed in the 1940 Census.Half-brother Joseph Davis Hatfield, Jr. was born 10/31/1922 in Logan, Logan County, WV and died 4/9/1992 in Huntington, Cabell County, WV.
