I am not directly related to Devil Anse but I have done some research on him and his family.It appears that his mother was Nancy Vance and as I traced the Hatfields back further I found an Elizabeth Vance who would be Devil Anse's great grandmother if the information I saw on the internet is correct.Keep in mind I don't believe everything I see on the internet but not having researched it I can't say either way.Hopefully this might help you in your search.
