Hatfield - German/English

For years I've been told that my Hatfield lineage was English Hatfield of WV and not the German Hatfield of WV.
after I found the pictures of Anderson Hatfield and matched them with my Great Grandmother's picture they are siblings in their likenesses.
Can anyone help me with a Benjamin Edward Hatfield of WV? circa 1800-1850.
