Jane Vennell Havill
BIRMINGHAM — Jane Vennell Havill of Birmingham passed away Nov. 25, 2007.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Jane was raised in Grand Rapids, Mich. After graduating from Stephens College she attended the University of Michigan School of Architecture. Jane married Charles Havill in 1943. They raised their children in Adrian, then headed to California where Jane was a docent at the Gamble House in Pasadena and an architectural researcher at Huntington Gardens. After many world and domestic travels Jane and Charles settled in Birmingham, Mich., to be near family. Charles preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Becky (Byron) Dailey of Toronto, Ont., Susan (Robert) Weed of Birmingham and Charles (Michel) Havill of California; and 10 grandchildren, Robert (Carolyn) Weed, Kelly (Erik) Dahl, Byron (Jennifer) Dailey, Charles (Melanie) Dailey, Matthew Dailey, Preston, Meghan, Jess, Robert and Stephen Havill. She is also survived by six great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter; one sister, Ann Hammond of Arizona; and a loving friend, Linda Chapdelaine of Pontiac.
