William Hawkey (b.1859), toFrederick/Eliza, of Darke Co., OH, wife:Nettie Hapner

I have an original carte de visite photograph of “William and Nettie Hawkey”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in about 1885-1887, in Greenville (Darke Co.) OH, and they look to be about in their upper 20s.

I found William Hawkey in the 1870 census for Butler (Darke Co.) OH, son of Frederick and Eliza.William was age 12 in 1880, and still living at home with parents.Nettie Hapner was in the same Butler 1880 census, with her parents, Alexander and Izabell Hapner.In 1900 Harrison (Preble Co.) OH census, William’s DOB is listed as Feb 1859 and Nettie as Jun 1861.

Ancestry OneWorldTree shows William Edward Hawkey with DOB 11 Feb 1859, and that he died 1928 Wayne Co., IN.OWT says that he was married to Nettie J. Hapner in Apr 1887.
