Benjamin Haygood is my GGGGGGGGgrandfather. All i know is that he was a revolutionary soldier. He lived in Monroe County.born June 20, 1758, Orange Co., N. C., died Jan. 4, 1841, Monroe Co., GaIt is assumed that he is buried in Haygood-StroudThompson-Zellner Cemetery near Strouds, Ga.Which is true, because me and my dad found it.There is a marker that the C.A.R people placed right down the road from the cemetery. After we notified them that is was in the wrong place, they moved it. You cant see the cemetary from the road its back in the woods.
Among the very first to settle in the Strouds community, and who remained throughout the years, were Benjamin Haygood, Sr., Benjamin Haygood, Jr., both of Clarke County.
Maybe this will help you find out some more stuff..
