Hello Joy,
My grandmother was a Hayhoe and she was born in West Stow in Suffolk,England. Her father was called William George Hayhoe and I believe he was born in Suffolk as well.There are several hayhoe's in suffolk and cambridgeshire,I believe that the name comes from East Anglia.I have only limited knowledge on this side of my family as I have been concentrating on my Barton side which I have got back to 1740.
If I can do any census searches for you in the suffolk area I would be pleased to.
