Re: J.F. Haynes b.1836 marrried N.E. b1840 from SC to Lauderdale Co. TN
Maybe you have already solved your mystery regarding George C. Haynes but just in case not, I believe he was listed on the 1900 census in Grayson Co. TX.
1900 Justice Precint, Grayson Co. TX p. 170a
Haynes, George C. Aug 1872, age 27; mrd 8 years; born TN; parents TN TN; farmer
Haynes, Esther (wife) Aug 1872, age 27; mrd 8 years; 4 children born 3 living, born TX; Parents MO MO
Haynes, William E. (son) Mar 1893, age 7; born TX
Haynes, Zaca--- (son) Feb 1895, age 5; born Territories *census taker had a difficult time spelling his name.
Haynes, Lillie (dau) Mar 1898, age 2; born TX
George C. and Esther were listed on the 1910 and 1920 census in Wagoner County, OK with two more children added; George Elbert and Roy.
I do not know if George C. Haynes is related to the HAYNES family I have been researching, but we have some in our line that had the same migration pattern; TN>TX>OK, and this sparked my interest.
Is it possible George C. Haynes was the son (or relative) of A.T. and Martha Hanes listed on the 1880 census, Warren County TN?
I hope you find this information useful.Good Luck.
