More info on George Hayslip of Accomack County, Virginia

By Robert Clark February 10, 2013 at 07:48:08

This is a followup to my posting of 2/5/13 regarding George Hayslip/Haslip of Accomack Co., Va.I am researching possible links between this Hayslip family and the family of Charles Hayslip who died in Onlsow Co., NC about 1787.The potential link is that there was a Charles Hayslip in Accomack Co. who had a stepbrother in 1714 named Nathaniel Kellam (Kellem or Kellum). In 1782, Charles Hayslip in Onslow Co. bought land from a Nathaniel Kellam.I am trying to figure out if the Accomack, Va and Onslow, NC Hayslips were related, or if this Nathaniel Kellam link was just a coincidence. If you can shed any light on this issue, please contact me at [email protected]
