Belmont Co., OH, Heed Origins

I'm looking for information on the origins of the Heed family in Belmont Co, OH.My ancestor, Walter Edwards, married Hannah Heed in 1821 in Belmont Co.According to family records, her father, Jonathan Heed, lived in Richland Twp at the time of the wedding.This CANNOT be the Jonathan Heed of Belmont Co. history (father of Thornton and grandfather of Joseph), but it could be that Jonathan's father.Hannah said at various times that she was from PA and VA (probably on the border), and my research shows John Heed families in PA (one is the painter's family and not mine) in 1800.In 1820 in Richland Twp. in Belmont Co., OH, there were two Heeds - one named JOHN Heed with a wife and several children, including one of an age to be Hannah, and another, younger family named JONATHAN Heed living next to him who I suspect is the son of John and the brother of Hannah.
In the past, well-meaning listers have given me much information on the younger Jonathan and Thornton and Joseph and their families, but what I really need is a connection to the elder John Heed.Can anyone help me out with this?
