Mrs. Emily S. Dilts died at home on East Washington Avenue at 10:30 on Sunday morning. Her age was 69 years old. She was born in Allamuchy township on Jan. 8, 1827, and was raised near Wiretown. Her maiden name was Emily Wire. When a young woman she married Lewis Heed, who died in 1870. The children surviving this union are Mrs. Almira J. Featherman of Elmira, N.Y., and Grant Heed of this place. About twenty-two years ago, she remarried, her husband being William Dilts, of this place, whose death occurred some few years ago. Several half brothers and sisters also survive her, as follows: Mrs. William Coleman, of Newark; Mrs. Silas D. Hibler of Blairstown, and Mrs. James Pittenger, Mrs. Charles Flatt and Matthew Howard, of Belvidere. The interment will be made in the Washington cemetery.

The widow of the late Capt. Dilts departed this life Sunday at an advanced age. The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon.

Mrs. Jacob Featherman died at her home in Elmira, N.Y., last week, She was a daughter of the late Mrs. Wm. Dilts and a sister of, Mr. Grant Heed of this borough. The latter attended the funeral which was held at her late home on Sunday.Died 4-12-1899 Bur. 4-14-1899 Woodlawn cemetery
