alabama heids?

I am looking for lost relatives in Alabama--I have reason to believe one of the names is Heid, or perhaps some deviation of that spelling. My maternal grandmother was Marie Elizabeth Koch Brown--her mother was Clara Lettau Koch--Clara's sister or sisters, I'm told, came to the USA from Germany in the 1880s, and went South; their maiden names would be Lettau but one was married to a Heid at some point. There may have been a brother Lettau as well. The rest of the family (Clara's mother Louise Lettau,and Clara herself) went North when they arrived here. GGrandma Clara married Emil Koch and had a large family, and GGGrandma Louise became a widow and then was remarried. We've been in Chicago since then, and there are photos(circa 1940s or 50s) of an 'aunt Mollie' from Alabama. If anyone has any information on this family, please send it my way. Thanks!
