My line is from Henry L and Nellie. My grandmother was Rosabelle who married George Camp.Who are you related to?
Eddie and Frank did go west to be sheep herders. In a newspaper article (Argus Searchlight, 1915) it stated: on June 3rd the body of Edward Heltzel was buried in Summum Cemetery. His body had been found in a box car then shipped home from Iowa....."In searching everything I can think of I came across the 1870 census of Woodland Twnsp.Henry and Barbara are listed and directly above them are Jonas and Polly Horner Heltzel.Henry and Barbara are mid-twenties in age and Jonas & Polly are mid 50's.In talking to several researchers they are inclined to believe since they lived in adjoining homes they are related and most likely the next generation back. They are still found in the 1880 census. When I go back north in the spring I plan to search more in the Astoria paper files and the cemeteries to see if I can find more about Jonas and Polly. It was a gleam of hope I never found before.
I will be happy to share information with you.I found in my aunt's things when she died a few photos of Aaron Kinne, his grandchildren, Nellora and Roseabelle.Feel free to contact me at my email.
