Hemans link to Martin/French/Gould Pittsfield,ME

Hemans must be an uncommon name.We are researching a link to this family through Felicia Hemans Gould, daughter of Sarah Martin and Joshua Gould.The area included was Somerset Co., Maine, the towns of Pittsfield and Norridgewock; and the time period was in the early 1800's.These families had a great interest in religion.Perhaps the Hemans name originated in Mass. or N.H., and may have belonged to a minister or evangelist.Any help on this problem will be appreciated.
