Melissa, I found an obituary for Leslie Hembree that states Steve Dan Hembree and Nancy Cassidy were his parents. Do you have proof that Telie Bays was his wife? I also have from a cemetery listing I found on line that Steve, Nancy and Telie Bays are all three buried at Mills Cemetery. Sorry, I do not have any information on Steve's parents.

Leslie Hembree - Middlesboro Daily News (Jun/15/2004) -WESTLAND, Mich. - Leslie Hembree, 87, passed away Friday, June 11, 2004, at Pineville Community Hospital. Born December 14, 1916, in Knox County, Ky., he was the son of the late Steve Dan Hembree and Nancy Jane Cassidy Hembree. He united in marriage with Helen Fisher, and they were married for over 49 years at the time of her death. In addition to his parents and his dear wife, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Carrie Wilson, Ethel Sowders, and Mossie Massinggail; two brothers, James and Albert Hembree; and a brother-in-law, Denver Fisher. Survivors include two sisters, his twin Dessie Wilson, and Azzalee Wilson, both of Bell County; sisters-in-law, Nora Hopkins, Dearborn Heights, Mich., Wilene Abner and husband, Donnie, New Boston, Mich.; his brother-in-law, Charles Fisher and wife, Madge, Girdler; and many dear nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hopper Funeral Home with the Rev. William "Mann" Cobb presiding. Graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Michigan Memorial Park in Flat Rock, Mich. Local visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday, and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at Hopper Funeral Home.
