Thank you for the reply, my mom died when I was only 2 yrs
old and my dad had a falling out with her family so I don't know very much. I know they came from the Rockaway/Canarsie area of Brooklyn. I was told my mom came from an old and prestigious family. They were here pre Revolutionary War. My dad had this disagreement with a man I called Uncle George, he was a native American man so I don't know how he fit into our family my dad said he used
White as his last name but it was Whitehawk and he was a Montauk Indian. In the census my granddad Arthur Elmer Abrams said he was born in NY State but I sent for the record and they didn't find it. He was born 12/1883.I must tell you I can remember Uncle George telling my dad that the money the were arguing over was ABRAMS money. My mom left an old set of Limoges china that had been in her family. I did remember seeing a photo of her in a pool and the back said Regina visiting family on Long Island. I do remember her Aunt Mae who we called Aunt Mae Bonnie ( Bonniface). I only spoke to my Uncle Arthur Abrams my mom's brother twice. He married a woman named Gladyes and had 2 children Leeann and Drew. I am 57 yrs old now and they would be around my age.My Mom & Dad were married in her faith Episcopal on 7th AVe and 6th ST Brooklyn, NY.
Two years ago I found out that both grandparents and my mother are buried in the Canarsie Cemetary.
I know this is probably alot of useless information but it is all I have right now.
