Well it looks like I can help. I am a distant relative of your wife. Lets go back to the 1870's ok.
1870 Prentiss County, Miss page 427 15 Jun 1870
Silas N. Hendrix age 25, Farmer, Born Tenn.
Elizabeth, wife age 35, Born Ga.
Children Bette e age 7
Sarah age 5
James E. 3
Susan A.H. 2
Silas L.6 mo.
And a boader by the name of Nancy A Jones age 65
These are my Great-Great Grandparents and it goes forward to the 1900-2000's with much more that I can give you

By the way the James born to Edmon died last year in Florida.He is a Medal of Honor winner from World War 2.
I have all of his papers to.He lived in Lepanto Ark. His dad was James Edmond. Granny was Emma then there was Bud, Leroy, Raymond, William, James( your Grandpa) Troy, and Ernestine( My father) and alot more. Edmon was born May 1868.
Census Mississippi Mantachie Precint 12 June 1900 Page 166B.
This will be a journey your wife and you will never forget.

I am writing a book for now on 24 years.Cant seem to close the chapters.The thing keeps on re-inventing itseft. Who knows maybe God intends for someone to carry on with it.
