Here's some additional information on the James Henry, father of Samuel Henry, discussed in my last posting. From a compilation "My Henry Family," no author noted:
Chester Co., Pennsylvania, Deed Book 2, 28, pp. 109-111, lists a Samuel Henry (who lived in Chester Co. as early as 1749), recorded a will, 28 August 1788, which mentions sons William Henry, JAMES HENRY (who married AGNES), Samuel Henry, and Ebenezer Henry and daughters Catherine Henry (who marrie Alexander Martin), Jean Henry (who married Thomas Cowan), Margaret Henry, and Mary Henry.
Another source I saw and will re-locate suggested that this Chester Co., PA, "JAMES HENRY (who married AGNES)" is the same as the James Henry who married Agnes Mitchell, moved to So. Carolina, and is the father of the Samuel Henry who married Mary Bramer.
Anybody have anything to help with this?It may be completely wrong, but it doens't hurt to explore every possible trail.
