I highly doubt that James Henry was actually born in VA despite any family legends. He is mentioned in his father Samuel Henry's will in 1773 in West Caln, Chester Co. PA. The abstract of the will is online. It has James with wife Agnes. Then Agnes Mitchell's father's will is also online at in Chester Co. mentioning his daughter Agnes who married James Henry (written that way).Yes, I think that it is likely that James and Agnes were already in VA by 1773 as James and Angnes (mentioned specifically as such) and the others gave their brother William Henry the authority to sell two different plots of land. I assume then that he dispersed the money between all the kids.William stayed in West Caln, possibly receiving more than the others. I think he may have been the oldest child. Some of the girls may or may not have stayed in West Caln,
but I don't think any of the sons stayed except for William.
