Re: Nicolas Heppell/Marie Reis in NY 1750s?

I am married to a descendant of Nicolas Heppell and Mary Reiss through one of their sons who married a French Canadian woman...there are many Heppell's in the province of Quebec. The information we have is that Nicolas and Mary resided in Salem, NY and that they probably immigrated to America from Germany, but no information on their ancesators. Am also greatly interested in any information on their ancestors.
