My 3xgreat grandfather, Samuel Hepworth, vanished from Batley, Yorks, between 1841-51.
Family tradition had it that he emigrated to "the colonies", leaving his wife and son behind.Do not have a birth date or place as his mother was Irish, but 1809 is quite appropriate. Any connection?
