Greetings from USA.My Greatgrandfather Arnold/us Hermsen came from village Nuetterden, Germany (Northwest of Cleve/Kleve near Kranenburg) to New York Harbor and arrived July 16, 1866 from book, Germans to America, volume 18 on page 78. He came on the ship 'Agnes' fron Antwerp to New York and it listed his destination as Wisconsin. We know that many of the Hermsen Family were in Wisconsin.Census records, death records and old books discribing old leading residants of several counties in Wisconsin give us this data.We are not sure you are connected to our Hermsen line but we'll give you a lineage line to check out anyway. Our Arnold is the third child of Henrich Hermsen and second wife Christinae Cluesters/Klosters. Henrich who was the son of Henri/ch Hermsen and Joanna Hendricks.Henrich's second wife Christinae's parents were Albert and Joanna Peters.Arnold's first wife was Aleyda Hendricks and a son of theirs was Frederick Wilhelm Hermsen, died September 1852 and he was 30 years old at the time of his death.
