Thanks for your response Bev.I have been in touch with Tony and do plan to visit. From the pictures of the reunion, it seems it was a WONDERFUL and SPECIAL time.Where would I find a copy of the very vast looking family tree that was presented at the reunion. Also I have lost the album and would love to have it sent back to me so I can put it on CD.I am married to a Gallimore who also has a Heron connnection.
But I will take your advise and pass by Tony Fisher's house, I live close by, and see what info he has.
I may have to do some research on my grandfather (Maurice Heron 1909 - 2004) at the RGD because he was an outside child and grew up with his mother's family so we have very little of the Heron information. My mother seems to remember her grandfather being called John or Johnnie, at one point I heard the name Alexander George Heron being banded about.By the way, without knowing any of this history about all the Alexanders in the Heron clan, I named my second child Alexander (see how funny life is:)
I am however extremely interested in the history of the family so any information at all that you can supply, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks much
Karen
