Hi,

I'm looking for info on my husband's grandparents John Heron and Elizabeth Rice. I don't have much on them.

John Heron, 43 widower, and children Sarah 22, Elitha 18, William 18, Rosannah 15 and Loyde 8 were listed in the 1900 Scott Co., VA census.I know this is the family I'm looking for.

I have a marriage record for a John Herrin and Elizabeth Rice dated 16June1865 but this can't be my husband's grandparents as John would have only been 8 years old.

There's a John and Elizabeth in the 1870 and 1880 Scott Co. VA census but the ages are not right nor are the children's names.

My husband's mother was Litha Heron born 31Oct1883 at Spears Ferry TN. She married George Robert Flannery 10Oct1910 in Rogersville, TN. Litha died 8Aug1935 in LaGrande OR. Both George and Litha are buried in the Wallowa Cemetery Wallowa, OR.

I have Litha's death certificate. It doesn't list her parent's names. She married Frank Eggleston before 1930. They were in the 1930 Wallowa Co. OR census. Does anyone have their marriage date?

John and Elizabeth's other children were Litha's twin brother William who married Belle ?, Rose, who married Will Vannoy, Sarah, who married Jim Winstead, Hiram, Loyd and Alice. I'd also like info on them.

Can anyone help me?

have pictures of Litha, her sister Rose and her brother Loyd.I also have a picture of Will Rice who is either Litha's cousin or her uncle.

I'm willing to pay for copies and will share whatever info I have.
Hope to hear from someone who is doing research on this family.
