In response to your posting of HERONS OF GALLOWAY,I have
some possible information for you. There is an oral tradition in my family that says some
of our ancestors went to Ulster but returned to Galloway.

My Known line of descent is from John HERON of Torrs [birthdate, place and parents unknown] through his younger son Nathaniel HERON b 1790 in Kircudbrightshire. This John Heron of Torrs is my ggggrandfather

My grandparents' family tree is probably from M'Kerlie M'Kerlie's "Lands and Their Owners in Galloway". At the
end of the Balgally line of descent is penned in the names of my great grandfather Heron and his wife as well as my
grandfather's name. A line is drawn from the bottom of
the Balgally line to the Kirrouchtree line.

.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Regards N Heron
