Scotland to Ireland and Back

I am looking for descendents of Herons who left Scotland probably before 1700 for Ireland and then returned to Scotland. This is an oral tradition in my family with no names, no dates. However, with a possible connection to Bargally in Minnegoff.My grandfather Heron and his brother emigrated to California before 1893 from Ediburgh. Theirfather wasand his parents were all born in Kirkcudbright - Kelton and Castle Douglas.
