Thank you very much for your response.Yes, I am definitely interested.I am a descendant of Captain Alexander Woodburn Heron, who was the brother of Frances Catherine Heron.She married her first cousin, Alexander Woodburn, son of Jean Heron Woodburn and her husband, William Woodburn of Scotland.Captain Heron's father, Alexander Heron (of Wigtownshire, Scotland, and later Jamaica,West Indies), and Jean Heron Woodburn of Wigtonwshire, Galloway, Scotlandwere children of William Heron and his wife, Agnes Dalziel Heron of Galloway.

I am trying to find the linkage between the Jamaican Herons and Kirrouchtree, Bargaly and Palnur estates in Galloway, which I heard about when I visited Scotland in the 1980s.

How do you fit into this "Heron Forest".We are planning a second Reunion of the descendants of Alexander and Robert Heron, the brothers who migrated to Jamaica and Jean Heron Woodburn and their other siblings. This will take place in Mandeville, Jamaica, in August 2008.
