I am going to Wigtown in the fall - my husband is doing a talk at the book festival - but I am thrilled as I am now convinced that my great grandmother Ethel Maud Heron was one of Alexander Heron's children with Elizabeth Hall. Wigtown styles itself as a book town so I will comb the shops for the book you want when I am there (will also scour the graveyards). Is there anything you want me to look for in particular?
