Edith Harvey Heron, born 2 Jan 1895 in CA, died 6 Mar 1980 in Alameda Co., CA, was the daughter of an orchardist, William S. Heron, born about 1857 in Scotland, and Ada Harvey, born about 1860 in Canada.Edith attended San Jose Normal School and graduated in 1918.Following a short-term teaching career in art therapy, she attended the California School of Arts and Crafts for two years (1920-22) and in 1929 earned a B. A. degree in Art at San Jose State College.She spent most of her life in the San Francisco Bay Area working as an artist.The Edith Harvey Heron Collection held by the San Jose State University Special Collections & Archives documents Edith's professional life and work.
