Edward Hasletine b abt 1725 - modern family spelling 'Heseltine'.
Can anyone please fit the following people into their family trees? -
Edward Hasletine b 1725-ish, probably in London
married
Anna Maria Burnett 15 Aug 1750 St George's Chapel, Hyde Park
children:
Edward b 1751
Edward b 1752
Bethia Anna Maria b 1756
Samuel Richard b 1759 m. Mary Davis 6 March 1782
Bethia Elizabeth Mary b 1760
all christened St Martins in the Fields, London
I am directly related to Edward and his son Samuel Richard, although by this time they spelt the name 'Hesletine', and the next generation 'Heseltine'.
Many members of the family spent their lives in London, but it would seem also that there are a number of Heseltines other than those I have recorded who lived in London during the interceding years.
Various members of the family have said they believe the family comes from Yorkshire, but so far no one has any proof. The documentary line backwards stops at Edward's marriage, and we cannot find any siblings or parents.
Any suggestions gratefully received!! If you would like t correspone off-line, please feel free to do so. You may receive an anti-spam message asking you to confirm that you are a person not a machine.
Sincerely
Edwin Macadam
