Re: Heslops in Jamaica, West Indies

I'm researching my Heslops, who originated in the North Yorkshire Dales. I recently received information about a Thomas Heslop from Jamaica, who was shot and killed in a duel in Wales. This occured in 1814 and was the last duel in Wales. I've been unable to find anything further about Thomas's background but as I've some loose ends I'm wondering if this Jamaican is in any way part of my extended family. Would welcome any input..Ron H.
