Hi...
I'm trying to research my grandfathers side of the family. His name was Rozell Camp Hess, he married Ossie Margaret Diamond, my grandmother, in 1918 andmoved to Calif. in the 1930's. He was born in 1887 in Marmora, N.J., USA. His father, My g grandfather, was Uriah Y. Hess, born 1857 in Cape May Co., N.J., his mother, my g grandmother, Anna E. Camp; Uriah married Eva Dibbs after Anna died.Rozell's grandfather, my g g grandfather, was Jonas Hess, his grandmother,
my g g grandmother, Rebecca Corson on his fathers side, we believe they are also from Cape May Co.. We have names of Jonas' and Uriahs children but do not know much else. We have no records at all on the Hess side before Jonas.Did he migrate and if so when and from where or was he born here?Does any of this sound familiar? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you, Ellen Janzen
