Duane, have you checked the 1920 and 1910 Federal Census records for Union, Hardin Co., Iowa?Leslie Hess should be listed with his parents in at least one of these.Another place to check, if you haven't already, is Leslie's death certificate.Parents are usually listed there.Also, marriage records often show the parents of both parties.Hope this helps.
