Christian Hess - b. 1813 Baden, Germany

I am looking for any additional information on Christian Hess. He was born in 1813 in Baden, Germany then moved to Ohio with his parents when he was 17. Then married Barbara Shutt (b. 1823 in France)

I am specifically looking for information on who his parents were, what he died of, etc. Also any information available on Barbara Shutt would be helpful.
