Myron R. Hess 1887-1976

Myron R. Hess, 89, of 1227 East Front street, Berwick, died Tuesday morning at 11:30 at his home.
Born in Fairmount Springs, he was a son of the late Warren and Margaret Seeley Hess. He had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Grace Harmon, for the past year. Prior to that he had lived in Nescopeck his entire adult life.
A farmer at one time, he had also been employed at ACF Industries Inc. in the finishing shed, retiring 25 years ago. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, Nescopeck, and the Berwick Grange.
His wife Elizabeth died two years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Alan, Philadelphia and Fred, Nescopeck; three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Harmon, Mrs. Martha Fisher and Mrs. Grace Harmon, all of Berwick; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Martha Mather, Danville, and two brothers, Leland Knapp, Wilkes-Barre and Elmer Hess, Briggsville.
Services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 from the Heller |Funeral Home, Nescopeck, with Rev. Barry Lohman, of the First United Church of Christ, Nescopeck, officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Nescopeck.
