Hi, Pat. Just returned from a 3 month vacation and found a message from John Heuring referring to your inquiry regarding Charles and Mary Heuring. I am the compiler of the book he mentioned to you. You are correct about the name of Charles' wife it was Mary E. Colvin or Calvin. The spelling could have gotten changed in the many writings of the a and o.You have the correct marriage date, 10 of February 1884 in Posey Co. Indiana. I have documented that in the WPA index which indicates it was recorded in Book C-97, p. 172. As for the parents names, my reference refers tothe 1880 Census of Posey Co. Specifically family 112, dwelling 103, lines 3-9, as filmed on National Archives microfilm T-9, Roll 305. All of my copies of documentation are stored in the attic as the book was published in 1998, so I don't have ready access to check who the actual family members names I referred to. It is possible that I have the wrong parents for Mary. If you have other proof of her parentage, I'd be most grateful for a copy in order to correct my family information.I have sold all of the copies of my book, but I'd be glad to send you a copy of the pages on Charles and Mary and their family. Although John did give you the info when he responded to your query. If you are interested in seeing a copy of my book, there is one in the Pike county library in Petersburg. Gratefully, Geri
