My Gt. Grandfather Jospeh Hickman was born 1883 at Kates Hill in Dudley. His father was James - from the census I think he was born 1856/7 in Gornal, near Dudley. There is a possible baptism for him at Dudley in Dec 1857, son of Joseph & Ann Hickman - is this the same as the elder Joseph in your message?
