I'm trying to place my Elizabeth Jane Hicks, b. abt. 1820 m. William Washington Nottingham. They had a dau. named Eliza, b. 1841 in Braxton Co. that I believe is the Eliza Nottingham, age 18 found in the Calhoun Co. 1860 census living with Stephen David Hicks. If this is indeed Eliza, then it appears that Elizabeth and Stephen were probably brother and sister. You list a dau. unknown born to Joseph Stephen Hicks and Margaret Boggs. Elizabeth married William Nottingham before 1838, so she may very well have missed being on a census. I don't know for sure. But it sure appears that way.
I just thought I'd point out these things.
