As far as I know, all the forms of this name--Hightshoe, Highshoe, Heightchew, and so on--are variations of the name of Jacob Heidschuh, who arrived in Pennsylvania Aug. 24, 1728, on the ship Mortonhouse, from the Palitinate region of Germany.
