Thank you for answering my inquiry.
I appreciate the census you sent, I was hoping that someone could tell me who John William Bayles'(born 1851) parents were.
Apparently after John Bayles' death in 1854 Mary-Eveline Hildreth married Nathaniel P. Rogers and one of her daughters eventually married Nathaniel Rogers sons either John, Warren or Nathaniel.
But I still cannot figure out why Kitty Hildreth Fretwell Cogar raised my John William Bayles, altho we knew he was raised by a aunt, we do not know who his parents were.
John William Bayles is seen on the 1860 census as age 9 and on the 1870 census age 19 both times living with Kitty Hildreth Fretwell Cogar and her husband William.
