James & Elizabeth Hilliard are the parents of the above George C. Hilliard so Silas & George C. are 1st cousins.

John Magruder Hilliard was married twice. 1/m to Elizabeth Lawrence, she is Mother of Silas. 2/m to Martha Jane Lowe.The brts listed on censuswith S.W. are Silas/ 1/2 brts. Martha Jane their Mother.
